- Step-by-step advanced compositions that let you apply what you have learned in the lessons.
- Master Level Projects
- Projects are designed for the very advanced colored pencil artist, planned
to challenge your ability and s-t-r-e-t-c-h your expertise. They deal with
advanced subjects, techniques, and concepts — all of which are covered in the
Apprentice and Journeyman Levels. If you begin with the Basics and take all
the lessons, you will definitely work your way to Master Level Projects — and
you WILL be ready for and capable of handling them!
Each lesson includes clear and easy-to-understand information
and definitions, exercises that teach you the concepts and techniques,
and an illustrated step-by-step project (line drawing included)
that provides you with the opportunity to apply and enhance what
you’ve just learned.
Each lesson includes a color palette of pencils you will need
to provide in order to complete the exercises and projects, and
also lists the colored pencil equivalents in other MAJOR brands.
In addition, you will need to provide good quality drawing paper,
and in some cases a few other items. Printable line drawings, exercises,
etc. will be sent to you along with each lesson you purchase.
So… how do you begin?
My suggestion is to take the first two lessons (101-01 & 101-02)
and see if you learn things you didn’t already know — and then
if you do, continue taking the Apprentice
Level Lessons. I guarantee
that the exercises and step-by-step projects alone will be worth
it
I have suggested prerequisites for you, but in the end, it’s your course of study, so you can take the classes in whatever order you want. But please remember that the lessons do build on one another, so don’t miss out on valuable instruction! For that reason, I suggest that you begin at the beginning.
As you look over the catalog and the lesson descriptions, you’ll notice that there are more Apprentice
Lessons offered now. Please remember that there’s only one of me and I’ll be working all the time to add new lessons. Right now, I’m concentrating on those who plan to begin at the beginning with a solid foundation, so for the time being, there will be more Apprentice
Lessons. As students advance through the lessons, the advanced offerings will increase.

Level Lessons, try those that are available, and watch my Website for the new lessons that will be added on a regular basis. You can identify them easily. They’ll be labeled: “COMING SOON.”
